What is Suniso Refrigeration Oil?

By Qishanr Lubricants April 2nd, 2025 244 views
Brand Origin and History of Suniso Refrigeration Oil:
Early History: Suniso's history goes back a long way, as a brand of Idemitsu Kosan Co. An energy company with a strong reputation in Japan and around the world, Idemitsu Kosan was founded in 1911 and started out in the oil business.

Technological Development and Market Expansion: Over time, Izumo Kogyo has accumulated deep experience and technological strength in the lubricant field through continuous technological research and market development, and Suniso refrigeration oils, as one of its important product lines, have gradually built up a good reputation in the international market.

Product Line Expansion: Suniso offers a wide range of refrigeration oils with different viscosity grades, including but not limited to Suniso 3GS, 4GS, 5GS, etc. These oils are suitable for different refrigerant types (e.g., R22, R134a, etc.), and are able to meet the needs of a wide range of refrigeration equipment, from domestic refrigerators to large commercial refrigeration equipment.

Characteristics:
Chemical stability:To resist interaction with the refrigerant or metal parts in the system.

Thermal stability:To eliminate excessive carbon deposits at compressor hotspots such as valves or discharge ports.

Low wax content:To prevent separation of flocculent wax from the oil-refrigeration mixture at the low temperature points in the system.

Low pour point: To prevent separated oil from congealing in refrigerant lines.

High dielectric strength:To ensure good insulating properties. In hermetic units, the oil-refrigerant mixture serves as an insulator between the motor and the compressor body.

Proper viscosity: To ensure high film strength at elevated operating temperatures and good fluidity under the coldest operating temperatures even when diluted with refrigerant.

No contamination:To prevent scarring of bearing surfaces, plugging of lines or oil ports and general deterioration.

Common Models:
SUNISO GS OILS:1GS、2GS、3GS、4GS、5GS、6GS
Description
SUNISO GS oils are premium quality hydrotreated oils designed for use as refrigeration compressor lubricant, with traditional refrigerants. They are highly stable and are essentially wax free.
Application
They are ideally suited for low temperature systems where evaporator temperatures are below -18°C including residential and commercial refrigeration and air -conditioning systems. Particularly with HCFC and CFC r efrigerants such as R-22, R-502 and R-12.
Properties
Cleaner operation of the com pressor with fewer deposits and failures due to valve sticking.
Excellent low temperature performance with no wax deposits to plug the system.

SUNISO GSD OILS:2GSD、3GSD、4GSD、5GSD
SUNISO GSD Oils are mainly suitable for systems using conventional refrigerants such as R22 (chlorodifluoromethane), but are also compatible with some other HCFC and HFC refrigerants. These oils have excellent chemical and thermal stability, provide reliable lubrication, extend compressor life and improve the efficiency of the entire refrigeration system.
Application
Household refrigerators, freezers, supermarket freezers, refrigerated display cabinets.

SUN PAG OILS:PAG56、PB100
PAG (Polyalkylene Glycol) oils are widely used in specific refrigeration applications due to their unique chemistry and excellent performance, especially those requiring compatibility with new environmentally friendly refrigerants such as HFC (Hydrofluorocarbons) and CO2 (Carbon Dioxide).
Application
Automotive air-conditioning systems: PAG oils are ideal especially for those systems that utilize R134a or CO2 as refrigerants.
Property
Due to its good compatibility with environmentally friendly refrigerants, PAG oil helps to minimize the impact on the environment.

SUNISO POE OILS:SL - 10S、SL - 15S、SL - 22S、SL - 32S、SL - 68

Application
Split Air Conditioner, Window Air Conditioner, Heat Pump System
Properties
Compatibility with a wide range of refrigerants:
Especially good compatibility with HFC refrigerants such as R134a, R407C, R410A, HFO refrigerants such as R1234yf, and natural refrigerants such as CO2.
Incompatible with conventional mineral oils, but less sensitive to moisture than PAG oils.
