DENSO ND-OIL 9 is an ISO VG 100 double-end-capped polyalkylene glycol (PAG) compressor oil for automotive air conditioning systems that run on R134a. DENSO Corporation manufactures the oil in Japan for Through Vane, Through Vane Scroll and scroll compressor types, including the TV08, TV12, TV14 and SV06 series.
DENSO ND-OIL 9 is a synthetic PAG 100 lubricant specified for R134a automotive A/C compressors. The double-end-capped PAG base resists moisture pick-up better than an uncapped PAG, which matters in a service environment where a can may be opened, used partially and resealed. Measured properties include a kinematic viscosity of 95 mm²/s at 40 °C, 11.8 mm²/s at 100 °C, a viscosity index of 114, a pour point of −40 °C and a flash point of 220 °C by the Cleveland open cup method. Density is 995 kg/m³ at 15 °C, and dielectric strength is 75 kV per 2.5 mm.
The viscosity grade is the deciding factor when choosing within the ND-OIL family. ND-OIL 9 is the PAG 100 grade; DENSO specifies the lighter PAG 46 grades for swash plate and piston compressors, and a POE oil for electric compressors in hybrid and EV systems. Matching the grade to the compressor type is the point of the series.
DENSO ND-OIL 9 is used in independent and franchise workshop A/C service on Japanese-built vehicle platforms. DENSO lists automotive A/C systems in Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Nissan vehicles as the application set for the ND-OIL series.
When a Through Vane or scroll compressor is replaced on an R134a system, ND-OIL 9 supplies the PAG 100 charge the service record calls for. The 250 ml can suits a single-vehicle job.
After a system flush, fresh PAG 100 replaces oil lost with the recovered refrigerant. Using the specified grade keeps compressor lubrication within the design viscosity range.
Workshops running repeat R134a A/C work take the 1 litre can, which covers multiple vehicles without opening a new seal for each job.
Where a service sheet lists Sanden SP-10, SP-20, Sunoco Sunice PB 100 or a generic double-end-capped PAG 100, ND-OIL 9 is the DENSO-branded equivalent grade to quote.
Before you order: confirm the refrigerant is R134a and the compressor is a Through Vane, TVS, scroll or SV06 type. R1234yf systems and electric compressors take a different ND-OIL grade, listed in the compatibility table below.

The ND-OIL series splits by oil chemistry, refrigerant and compressor type. The product images on this page show the ND-OIL 9 can first, followed by ND-OIL 11 and ND-OIL 12 cans as series packaging references. Read this table before ordering from a photograph.
| Grade | Oil type | Refrigerant | Compressor type |
|---|---|---|---|
| ND-OIL 8 | PAG 46 | R134a | Swash plate / piston type |
| ND-OIL 9 (this product) | PAG 100, double-end-capped | R134a | Through Vane, TVS, scroll, SV06 |
| ND-OIL 11 | POE | R134a | Electric (hybrid / EV) |
| ND-OIL 12 | PAG 46 | R1234yf | Swash plate / piston type |
ND-OIL 9 corresponds to the double-end-capped PAG 100 grade listed under several other designations. Quote any of the following and the matching DENSO grade is ND-OIL 9.

This oil is manufactured and supplied by Guangzhou Qishanr Technologies Co., Ltd., trading as the brand QISHANR. The company is based in Foshan, Guangdong, adjacent to Guangzhou Port, and has been producing lubricants for more than 10 years from its own blending plant. That plant runs at an annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes, which is what allows us to hold stock on the grades we list and quote firm lead times rather than promising on behalf of a third party.
Refrigeration oils are the core of the business, but they are not the whole plant. The same lines produce general industrial lubricants, so a mixed enquiry that covers both refrigeration oils and ordinary industrial grades can be quoted, packed and shipped together instead of being split across suppliers.
This is not the full range. Specialised ester base oils and lubricant additives are produced in-house as well, which is the reason the synthetic ester grades can be specified to a target rather than bought off a shelf. If the grade you need is not listed above, send the specification or the product you are replacing and we will confirm whether we produce it.
Long-term partners get pricing that reflects a stable manufacturing base rather than a trading margin, and the same technical contact stays with the account from grade selection through to repeat orders.
The grade designations, part numbers and compatibility information on this page follow the manufacturer documents listed below.
